I have been asked to redesign my genealogy and education packages for Facebook and publish them.
The trouble is they were done completely in C++ or Java, and my web host doesn't allow Java (which is odd since they -do- provide SSL).
So I will need to rebuild everything via Scripting.
So what are the preferred scripting languages for developing facebook apps?
(I know the question has been around before, but I somehow doubt JavaScript is the answer these days)

1) Java has nothing to do with SSL
2) Your question says Flash, but it seems you're asking about Facebook. Which one is it?
3) HTML, CSS, and Javascript are the language of the web, including Facebook. Flash has its own language.
