Does anyone use (and can advise on using) the Facebook app on Blackberry? - Woody - 03-24-2014 04:46 PM

Hello, has anyone had any experience of using the Facebook app on a Blackberry? Does it use a lot of data (I’m on a 250mb a month plan, but have unlimited browsing)?

Any tips to cut down data usage while using the Facebook app?

Would it help to have a friend cull?

Would it make any difference as to how many times I check Facebook?

Or would I better off not bothering with the Facebook app?

Any help/advice would be much appreciated, as I’m a bit nervous about all this data usage business as it’s all new to me.

Thanks!

Having a friend cull shouldn't really help at all.
The amount of times you check it will make a massive difference, each time you check it you are downloading more data. Looking at peoples pictures while you are on your phone will use much more data. I'd advise turning off the ability for it to auto update this will be within the app settings somewhere.

Using occasionally just to see what everyone's up to and everything will barely use any of your data, I wouldn't worry about that.

the more you check facebook the more your downloading data
250 would be enough but dont watch any videos
and get the facebook app since youll be able to do more stuff you cant do on the web broswer
