They are similar prices and do exactly the same. I don't really need one for travelling but it'd be nice. I need the better one for editing and uploading YouTube videos. I need it for checking my social media accounts as well.

I suggest you buy the iMac if you use your computer only at home, as it has a big display. If you're travelling then the Macbook Air is the best choice.
