Am I wrong for feeling that black people are being racist? - Laura - 03-24-2014 04:56 PM

With social media and the influence of the internet these days I can't help but stumble across thousands of comments and articles about black people calling white people racist. Am I wrong to feel that the black people making these comments are, well, ironically racist? Just a thought as I came across another vexing article this evening where a black woman (in response to an article calling white people racist) said "I love this post!!! 100% true and accurate based on historic facts!! Deep down white people know we are the Original race, the Master race and the Parent race who produced all races on the planet!!!".

No. Everyone is a little racist.

Your question is another generalisation. If you have 'stumbled across thousands' of articles about race then you really should find something else to look at on the Internet...

I swear, there are some people who should not be allowed to own a computer, or have access to the internet.

Blacks are no more prejudiced than members of the Klan, the Nazis, the right-wing Japanese who led their nation int WW II, the English who dominated India and China and established the opium trade that made them rich while destroying Chinese culture and government, the Dutch who dominated Indonesia, the Belgians who "colonized" the Congo, the Spaniards who "captured" Peru, Mexico and much of Central America, the Boers and English who dominated South Africa. As well as Egyptians, Zulus, Brazilians, Central Americans, Chinese, French and Native Americans.

EVERYONE is prejudiced and bigoted...the question is not whether people harbor such attitudes, but whether they an successfully overcome them and learn to treat others as peers DESPITE innate fears and hangups over people who are "different" because of appearance, skin color, customs, faith, or language.

You are not racist for calling out racism
AND not everyone is a little racist... that is false.
Don't try to justify your racist veiws by saying everyome is.. because that highly incorrect
admit you have an issue and fix it.

You had me, then you lost me at the start of that sentence with the first exclamation points. To answer the main question, yes it's wrong because it's a generalization of the entire race and unless you know ALL 13 million+ blacks in America and the ones all over the world, you can't say that definitively. I will say that society has influenced EVERYONE to be racist and it's a Bastard to get rid of
