It depends on if the phone would work W/ Verizon... But say it did, then Yes you would be able to do any plan and you wouldn't have to get locked in a contract.

the person above me is VERY wrong. You'd have to sign a contract to have a plan.
and if the phone is branded to verizon then yes, you can pick any plan.

if i were you i would not buy a used phone you could be buying more trouble then you bargain for
