Neither one is safer, both are depended on by how YOU use them.
it really is the same thing, just showed differently i guess.
they are both sources of internet communications, etc.

Myspace, you can add people, socialize, and everything just like on facebook.
Myspace you can add applications to add to your profile, which is a new feature.Just like facebook, you can do the same thing as well.
Myspace though you can "design" your profile, unlike facebook where that is not possible by adding layouts, etc.

Facebook though I suppose is more for catching up with buddies from high school,or college and such.
Either way,both are worth joining.

They both target different markets. My space is more for teenagers whilst facebook for professionals since at the beginning it was mainly used by universities...now I think it has lost that and will eventually become cheap...

myspace is very good, I like it more for adding comments to someone's page. Facebook seems to have alot more privacy and other cool stuff like casting spells and taking quizzes.

Facebook has apps (fun but can get cluttered) and is less customizable/more 'neat', older crowd and more school based connections.

Myspace is very messy but allows you to show your personal style through your page. Can be complicated to use.

I personally prefer Yuniti ( http://yuniti.com ) because it combines the best of both + its own kool things. It is simple and organized, but also lets you express yourself. It is also the safest (most security features) and is the only site that lets users of any age join.

My page: http://yuniti.com/natalie (so you can get an idea of what I mean)

Facebook is safer than myspace, but neither are really that great.
