I don't want to individually remove myself cause that would take hours. Is there a function in Facebook which allows me to leave all current groups?

No, sorry.
either you have to remove them all individually (sigh)
or you could create a new account (which means you have to: delete your old one in order to use the same email address, add all your friends/photos/notes/games etc. all over again)
