I recently transferred my blog over from wordpress to blogger about two weeks ago and in total I've had over 300 views. But I've had no followers.
I have the 'join this site' widget visible, is this the correct widget I need for people to follow my blog?? I'm really confused!!
I have commented and followed other sites and when I was on wordpress I gained followers quickly. I'm now kind of regretting moving over to blogger.
Can some body please explain to me widgets I need for people to follow me on blogger, it would really help!! Thanks

You need people to find you, so you need to use keywords relevant to your blog. Getting real followers takes time. People will read the blog, but not follow right away because they want to see if your content is consistently good. If you don't have good content, you won't get followers, but you will get viewers.
Promote your blog in Facebook and Twitter. Make sure your friends know it's there and have them spread the word.
But, most importantly is being found. You need to use keywords/tags on every post. Also, it helps to have something that many people are interested in so they will look for you.

Yes you are using right widget on your blog. You can ask for people to join your site on social media.
