Does the facebook app use data when not running? - ATYL - 03-27-2014 06:43 AM

I don't have the social net working data plan, so most of the time I just use my blackberry with wifi.
my question is, if I download the facebook app, would it use data (ie// sending and receiving information)
when i'm not using it? I don't want it to have data usage when I'm out of a wifi zone.

If the answer is yes, is there an option to turn it off?

If the application is not running on the background; there is no way it can communicate. Just exit from the application. Hope this will work.

Even if the app isn't open it's still running & using memory & sending info. If it didn't you'd never know when someone liked or commented. Depends on what telli you have but I just shut my notifications off or the network all together.
