Do you think a Facebook page about anime will catch on? - Anime Girl - 03-28-2014 04:37 AM

I was thinking of making a Facebook page called 'Anime Newbies' where people who are new to anime can go. I will post things on the page like anime recommendations, reviews, latest anime news such as a new series coming out and even do an AQA thing where people can post on the page or inbox me a question about something they don't understand. Such as what a Japanese word means like 'onii-chan' which may be used in an anime they are watching and I will answer them back. They could even ask about not understanding something in an anime they are watching and I will explain it to them as I have watched a wide range of anime. Do you think a page like this would catch on? And would you be interested in liking it if I were to create it?
I have created the page but I have named it 'The Anime Hub' thanks to Livi for suggesting a name change. I am also looking for another admin to help me with the page for a wider range of anime knowledge and because college may get in the way of me posting regular updates. If you are interested please message the page and give it a like. Thank-you.

I think that would be a really cool idea! I wish I had that when I start anime so I didn't end up picking amines ment for 42 year old guys living in there moms basements. (I'm a girl btw) so ya that is a great idea

It might catch on, it might not. There are hundreds of pages like that on Facebook already and many of them become inactive, while a small handful could get several hundred likes or followers and continue to be active. It's mostly up to luck and dedication and it might catch on if you devote a lot of time to it, but that time might also be lost and backfire if it doesn't catch on.

ittl definately catch on theres loaaddsssss of anime pages on facebook but yours seems really unique and i think it would be good to encourage newbs to carry on watching anime i remember when i first started watching it i felt wierd and i was at a lost of which animes to watch and i didnt have a clue on anything so i think itd be good to have a page where people can go allthough id think of the name some more because even hardcore anime watchers sometimes find themselves stuck for finding a good anime so widen your page a little more to all anime watchers instead of just newbs and i think that itd be perfect
also i have a popular anime page so when/if you create it put the link up on here and ill send it out Smile
