I accidentally followed someone on twitter while scrolling on my phone so I immediately unfollowed.. Do they still get the notification if I unfollowed before they checked their connect tab or does it go away?

No. It does not show notification on the twitter. So no tension. You can do it easily. Or when need, You can follow him again.
