Android on Ipod help? - Just an average joe. - 03-28-2014 09:57 AM

Can I jailbreak my IPod touch 4g and put Android on it? And if I do, do I still need to use iTunes to put my music on it, or can I just use a file drag and drop like an android device? And can I download legally off the android market place? Like could I download the Facebook or twitter app and use them? Thanks in advance

it will just look like android it wont have the actual android software. dont jailbreak. i did it once and what was a perfectly good 32GB ipod is now a laggy, weak, screwed up ipod that took 10 hours to get the jailbreak off after it stopped syncing with itunes and ended up freezing my really fast laptop when i tried syncing it. Also jailbreaking uses quite a bit of space and with 4GB thats space is gonna be taken up really quick. You will need itunes to sync and all that...if it works. You can not download from the android market because you're using an apple deevice. It will still have itunes on it. You have to download a jailbreaker from a website and jailbreak it via ur pc. it seems fairly easy coz the computer does all the work and it is quick. but it seriously screws up ur device even if u restore it and take it off.

You can only make it look like an Android if you wish after you get a jailbreak. However you cannot install anything from Google Play nor you can copy & paste like Windows. You will iTunes or similar software like Sharepod 3.9.9 to put music on iPod. You can download Facebok, twitter and any apps from itunes store only or you can manually get ipa file and install it. You cannot install apk file.
