blocked from a facebook profile? - panadelias - 03-28-2014 03:43 PM

I wanted to block my boyfriends ex lover from my facebook profile because i saw she recently joined. so as i was in the process of blocking it. i could not find her profile, then i tried searching her and couldnt so i figured she blocked me before i got a chance to. so i log on into my boyfriends profile and and found her in a search, but again when trying to block her from his accout same thing happened. is this just a coincidence that we were blocking eachother at the exact same time? and if she did block us does that still give her the ability to see our profiles somehow?

How do I block people?
Simply list the person's name in the "Block People" box at the bottom of the Privacy page. Select the "Search" button to perform a search for the person. Find the desired person from the search results and select "Block Person."

I want to block someone, but he/she isn't showing up in searches when I try. What can I do?
If you are experiencing problems blocking a user, please contact us here (http://www.facebook.com/help.php?show_form=20 and include the user's full name and network(s).

What happens when I block someone?
A block prevents specific people from viewing your profile. Any ties you currently have with the people you block will be broken (friendship connections, Friend Details, etc). Your profile will not be visible to them and you will not appear in their search results or Friend Lists. Removing the block will not restore the connection. You will also need to request to be their friend once again.

Sometimes it glitches...try to come back to it later. But yes, if the person blocked you first, they could unblock and see your profile. I would contact Facebook about it; they respond pretty quickly and are helpful.
