I made a fake Facebook account and I cyberbullied some people on there? - Ellie - 03-29-2014 12:55 AM

So I made a troll Facebook account posing as a black chick with a really long and ghetto name with my friend just to make fun of people we don't like, such as uneducated, ghetto people or people who have bullied us in the past. I know, it's shallow and low of me but I guess you can say that I have a lot of hate in my heart. All my life I was bullied and I have really low-self esteem. I feel like I'm ugly and I'm not smart enough. So I go on this account and take my anger out on people there. So one of my friends overheard these boys in her class gossiping about a girl in one of their classes. This girl is incredibly smart, your typical teacher's pet. So they were saying that in their civics class she was complaining that she only had a 98% in that class and even asked the teacher how she could earn a 100% in the course. I know it really shouldn't have bothered me when I heard about it but it really got on my nerves. I thought, how dare she try to subliminally brag about her high mark when I'm almost failing my classes? Also, a small part of me is envious of her as well, I'll admit that. I wish I could be as smart as her because she's obviously going to get far in life and I probably won't.

Anyway, of course I went on my troll account and told her off in a ghetto-like way. My main goal was to get her to pipe down a little bit, and maybe stop making others feel bad about their low marks. She responded by saying that my actions are technically illegal and that I could be held accountable for my actions but she doesn't have time. We did have a brief enjoyable conversation about food and then afterward she said she was going to find out who I am and not go out of her own way to be particularly nice to me anymore. And lately I've been feeling like she knows that it's me. When we pass by each other in the halls she kind of looks depressed. And today I passed by her, and we were incredibly close and I caught her staring at me. But as soon as we locked eyes she quickly looked away. Do you think she knows? How could she have found out it was me?
I know I am that pathetic. Everyone thinks I am innocent and sweet and quiet but in reality I have dark thoughts. I was put down all my life, my father neglects me, my mother verbally abuses me, I've been bullied really badly, and now I've built up all this hate and unleash it on that account.

But she said she'd find out who it is. And I believe her. I'm scared she might've gone to the cops to trace the account but not charge me.

just deactivate the account. I used to go to school with kids just like that and they just spew bs from their mouth 24/7 so I wouldn't worry about it. The FB account was kinda messed up though

no she does not know its you but you just revealed why you really do what you do
because you want to be friends with them but you can't be because you feel your not good enough so fighting with them is better than nothing
just think how funny it would be if all the school found out it was you, how pathetic would you look
but the truth is, you are that pathetic its just that the people at school do not know it yet

You were bullied, and you feel ugly, and you have low self-esteem, blah blah blah. And I bet you were depressed, you grew up in a single-parent home, etc.

IT DOESN'T MATTER. What matters is that you did something wrong. You screwed up. You should have known you were doing something wrong, but you decided to troll someone. Yeah, maybe you didn't commit a crime by doing so, but you bullied someone.

Maybe you should think about the consequences of your actions.

If she is super smart like you say then she probably is able to formulate a pretty good guess, so she likely does suspect you. You probably won't get in too much trouble. If you keep messing with people like this, though you may some day mess with the wrong person so hopefully this can be a teachable moment.
