Why do people keep switching to different social networks? - john - 03-29-2014 03:01 AM

it went from myspace>facebook>twitter>& so on! If people would just stick to one social network & stop moving to whatever is hot at the moment what site would that be?

Facebook and Twitter are VASTLY different ... I don't know of anyone leaving FB "for" Twitter.

But it's just how trends work. MySpace got horribly annoying just as FB was coming up so everyone migrated. Before that it was Friendster, but it got annoying and people migrated to MySpace.

So it's more like Friendster and/or Orkut --> MySpace --> Facebook AND Twitter AND instagram.

However, now Facebook is pretty integrated into damn near everything, so people are willing to put up with more annoyances from them. For now.

because a lot of people fall for being trendy and they fall for marketing. and for better or worse, in some jobs and some lifestyles, if you don't switch, you will be left behind.

People just want to have the newest thing so they aren't left out.
