1). How often should one post something on their Instagram account?
2). Is it better to keep my account public, or should I change it to private?

I usually post once or twice a day. post as much as you want. & my page is private .

1) As much as you feel like it. Maybe a few times a week at the most (you can post multiple photos). Just don't be like those people who post "selfie of the day" or instagram every meal they get.
2) Keep it public only if you want a lot of followers.
