Did yahoo give up on having a social media platform like Facebook? - JillianWho - 03-29-2014 01:18 PM

Facebook has gotten greedy and pushy with page owners, trying to make them pay to be seen. I would love to find another social media format besides Pinterest/Twitter/Tumblr and the other ones that just don't have good functionality. Has Yahoo given up trying to compete? I sure wish they'd bring back their Yahoo groups and such and try to compete, surely they can do it. If not, what social media platform is up and coming that you can do from your pc and not a phone? Thanks!

Yes. Yahoo had a functional, if not popular social media site called, simply, 360.
Few took advantage of the fairly good resources that were available there, so it was abandoned and removed.
No plans exist for a revival of anything of the sort so far as I know, for they know it would be doomed to fail..
