I heard from a friend that it took 15months for Mark to create Facebook, is it true ? I thought one can make a site like that in a month at max, infact the original facebook wasn't better than the facebook we have now. So I cant believe what my friend said, Can really creating a site takes so long when it is done all alone ? say, if you are a web developer, how many days it would take you to create a Facebook, Youtube like sites ? (Please also tell me the time to took to create youtube site)

It doesn't take 15 months to code a facebook like site. It could be done in a week if you know what your doing. However marketing and SEO might take 15 months, just because you build a social network doesn't mean people will visit your site. It all depends on your programing skill level.
