Facebook Apps? - . - 03-30-2014 04:13 PM

I want to add an Aplication to my facebook but it says "Share my information with" or something. Does this mean the creator of this app can see my profile?

Or something else?

AHHHHH didn't you watch the news, that was on today, they take all your details and stuff and fraud your identity!

If you let the application share your information, it can access more of the information you put in your facebook profile than usual, but ONLY what you put in your facebook profile. So say you put a certain film in your favourite movies, the app might be able to use that to give you more targetted content (e.g. Flixter might be able to suggest related movies to you).

Your privacy is not really in jeopardy, since your password is not shared. You already wrote that info on your profile.
