I believe singers are because singers like lady gaga and justin bieber are the only two celebrities you hear about everyday. both have gotten over a billion views on youtube and no actor has ever got more views on youtube than a singer, and singers also have over 30 million fans on facebook and twitter, the actor with the most fans on facebook is george clooney with only 4 million, he was surpassed by 117 singers and I don't even know of a deceased actor that's better known or talked about than elvis or michael jackson.

Well singers tell their stories through music. . . and a song and music video is only around 4 minutes. That's why they get so many hits on youtube, facebook, and twitter. . . The people don't really care about the singer as a person, they look more at their clothes, style, and of course the music they bring.
Actors and actresses tell their story through acting. People look at everything about them, like their face, physical appearance, speech, accent, and their acting ability's and the stories, movies that they star in, and also how much they can recognize or identify with.
Everybody now days are listening to music, whether it's on their iPod or in a club. . you will never see a person watching a movie at a club.
This is why I think that music trends will trump movie goers any day, and also the reason I think that people on the internet will always go with singers rather than actors. . . I love music, don't get me wrong. . . But I also love movies and the stories that they tell as well.
I cannot choose a side, I can only give my opinion.
