idk what i've done, but random ads are popping up when i open texts, facebook or random times, and they are total spam like 'download to enhance battery life' or 'download best free dating app'.
how can i stop this

Have you recently installed a new app? Some include ads as an alternative to charging for the app.
You could also go to the Play store and get Malwarebytes.

ok well this is caused because you probably have some annoying app that gives your phone ads. maybe its a popular game, or any other app, but that doesn't matter it probably just gives you ads. OR, you have ads because you downloaded something else onto your phone like a virus. I had ads in my gallery because of a popular game and an app and once i deleted the app the ads deleted as well. hope I helped
