CHow to change a file that is "microsoft" to the type that can be used in facebook? - Preacher with Priors - 04-01-2014 01:19 AM

When I changed one of my pics in facebook to be a file to use somewhere else, then it will not let me bring it back to facebook because I guess facebook does not recognize microsoft type file. I have no idea what to do now. thankyou
Thanks Peter, but, I realize that many and it seems ypourself know a lot here but, well no one seems to hear me when I say these things, and yet I called the crypto over a year before it appeared. Now this file form is identified as microsoft file, therefore I took it at its word. the big problem is that when you save somethign to documents,it is not the same documents that you are sent to when clickiing to make an attchment.in fact I just had put the pic into a flash drive which had about 4 gb of stuff on it, then went to the flash when I was going to then attach the file it was not there in fact NOTHING was in the drive, but when not looking through the window that they make for choosing attachments the drive has 4 gb of stuff. haha twilight zone yes
By the way Peter I have just found out from Microsoft that there is indeed the microsoft file, it is called Microsoft Office Open XML. now see, , we all can learn so0mething, btu nothgin here helps this problem yet.
under type as it is in the folder it states Microsoft file, and this is the type of file that I suppose the "other" people mean but where another days jpg it says microsoft file, I saved it in word 97 2003 document. I took the pic with web cam, then saved it to documents and made a poster for my ministry with it. But oh I also used the place to enhance the pic a little with some brightness, and way it was fine posting on the sites where I help out. Then I got hit with that ransome thing that destroyed everything but what was on facebook and some things in another account. you cannot post the pic from facebook to another facebook page, because you cannot be "friends" so you have to do it from the computer such as from documents. So I was save image as with the other ones, but a few of them did not offer save image as only save page.then I made a speed dial out of it, then save it and then I was able to use the others by putting them back into documents. But this

What you can do is change it back in the same way you changed it in the first place. There is no such thing as a "microsoft" file. You need to look at the file extension BMP, JPG, TIF or whatever, and use a graphics program to convert it into a file which Facebook accepts. JPG and PNG files are recommended

What do you mean by a 'Microsoft file'?

Virtually every image viewable on the Web is of a standardized format such as JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP or SVG. None of these formats are related to Microsoft, as far as I know.
