Alternatives to Facebook for Business? - brianmillar9 - 04-01-2014 08:09 AM Hi, I run an open source software project and currently all interactions with my users/fans are through a Facebook page. For personal reasons I want to leave Facebook. I am deleting my personal account and all the pages connected to it. I still want to be able it interact with my users and give them updates on the project and stuff like that. Is there a good alternative to a Facebook page for engaging with users? - Annie - 04-01-2014 08:20 AM Maybe tumblr or linked in - Brian - 04-01-2014 08:29 AM Top of my head Edmodo, but that's more school like related You can always make a Facebook page and have them reach you there - Brian - 04-01-2014 08:45 AM definitely Linkedin. You will need to invite your current friends in FB in Linkedin. - RASOOL AHMED - 04-01-2014 08:47 AM In my opinion, Google+ (Plus) is best for you. Because, Google is providing lots of services like Mail, Drive, Play, Maps etc. Google+ is one of them and it is similar to Facebook. Now a days, 80% of Netizens have a Gmail account. Who have gmail account, they are easily join in your Google+ Circle and connected you like Facebook. - Cosmin - 04-01-2014 08:50 AM For providing updates on a project a blog seems like a good choice. Wordpress or Tumblr or something like that. Maybe make a twitter account too ? But if you want a social network that uses real life names just like Facebook there's Google+. - Daniel - 04-01-2014 08:54 AM Try Google+ Or Tumblr |
