On the oldest version of instagram you could put bigger photos on (vertically length wise) by rotating the photo so it's sideways in your album, then when you go to put it on instagram just rotate it while your in editing. So you end up with the whole photo on there, the edges are just black. You can't do that on the new version though
How can I find a new way to put pictures like that on without cropping them?
Or just get the older version of instagram on my iphone again?

There's an app on the app store called squaready, it's free and it does the same thing, only easier. If you want an easy option, press the 3rd logo from the left at the bottom after opening the picture you want to post. I usually save it in instagram format and open it on instagram from the app, so yeah that's how

If you're using iPhone, a really simple app to do this is called, "Easy Square" - also, you can also choose white background and get it to fade into the background.
