Hi, I'm a child author, and my book is coming out soon, I was just wondering if there were anyways for me to market/spread word about my book. And how to book/get a book signing, and if any other ways than Facebook/Twitter (already using it) to spread word about my book. Thanks in advance!

Put up flyers around town or try to get a add in the newspaper about it.

Contact your local news paper and tell them, they will do a little story on it, contact the local elementary schools around you too.

If you're getting published through a traditional commercial publisher, they will make sure your story gets publicity.
If you are self/vanity-publishing, then advertising isn't going to do much to help you save for encouraging relatives and close friends to help you make up for your losses.

Book signings: Before you get ahead of yourself, read this. First off, try calling your local bookstore and ask to have your book displayed at the bookstore. If all goes well and you begin to become recognized, then I would ask about scheduling a book signing. Now, here's what you need to know about book signings. Usually bookstores message you via webpage or e-mail if you are popular and they want you at their store. Since you are currently not popular, you could always call your local bookstore and ask if there was someone you could speak to about scheduling book signings. Unfortunately, you would have to be very popular so that you instantly bring in a lot of people. If the manager running your local bookstore is open-minded, they may give you a shot, but not without a catch. The manager will most likely make some sort of deal with you, saying something along the lines of, "I'll give you your book signing if you can bring in a certain amount of people to your signing," which means you should start informing classmates, relatives, and friends. Then you've scheduled your first book signing. Tada! Remember, if the first local bookstore fails, try, try, try again on another bookstore around your area. Also, this works with libraries.
Spreading the word about your book: Since you are a child author (and I'm assuming you are self-published because a publisher would be spreading the word about your book for you), you should spread the word about your book through your school. (1) Ask your principal if you could write a short clip to put in your school newspaper and school bulletin board. (2) Also ask your principal if you could announce something about your book (like your book synopsis) over the school intercom. (3) You could also contact your local newspaper and try to get your book information out there. If you do any of these three things, be sure to say a brief sentence or two about how you have a separate Facebook and Twitter where people can find out more information about your book. Also, I'm going to suggest what another answerer said to do and try putting up fliers around your town/city. You could also always try to sell your book at http://www.amazon.com/ and other, safe, popular websites. Also ask your friends and relatives to spread the word.
Would you mind telling us the title and synopsis of your book? I'm interested to hear it. Maybe I'll look at it if you make it available online, such as at Amazon. &Do you mind me asking how old you are since you said you are a child author? I'm curious because I want to be a child author, too, or at least a teenage one.

Go to every school library you can and ask them to consider putting your book on the shelves. Contact the newspaper and tell them about your book. Use the internet. Post your book on amazon, craigs list, and many other sites. Use facebook. Post your status as ""Book title" by "Your name." Tell the world about your book through Facebook by putting the status setting to "Everyone." Tell your friends. If you go to a global chat website, post it there. Think really hard on what you can do to tell the world of your novel.

Well if you have a publisher they will make sure you get the word out. I don't think you really have to worry about anything there.
If your self-publishing then you need your family and friends to help you out and maybe make videos or something along those lines.
