Advertising Strategy for Blackberry Apps? - Varalyne - 10-15-2012 08:19 PM

I'm forming a marketing plan for a Blackberry app that provides directions to your parked car using GPS technology. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where would be effective places to advertise this app? such as facebook, twitter, and parking lots.
Any help would be great!

I would focus on people that drive themselves to airports and limo drivers. FB etc, sound like a good place o start. But I would try to get on airports sales and marketing sites and material.

Social networking sites where people gather together are best places to advertise your product. Just study how to do it.

Great idea as it sounds like a lot of people would find this app useful. Here are some ideas that I like to share with you.

1. Choose a launch day for your app. Here is a website that gives you free information on how to successfully launch your product or website online: http://www.winningware.com

2. Before creating the website for your launch find the best keywords to use for the website of your launch. This link takes you a website where you can understand how to choose the best keywords for your apps website: http://t.co/UwVvwuz

3. Using Twitter for Marketing is excellent. As a lot of people use mobile devises to tweet. Facebook is good and it is a great idea to create a community/ fan page around the app, but in my personal direct experience I have better connections with people on twitter. Here is a great web site for using Twitter for marketing http://www.twitterbuzzmedia.com Lots of blog posts, videos and software tools.

4. I forgot to mention that you can find Blackberry companies on Twitter using Twitter Search. Follow the friends of these Blackberry Twitter Accounts, so that your friends are people who show an interest in Blackberry. This is a great way to home down on your niche.

5. Have a holistic plan. What I mean is do not rely on one social network to help you achieve your results. When I use to be a social media marketing consultant, I would design a very intricate map of driving visitors to a website. I believe that you need variety to be successful, so as create buzz. That's the whole trick of creating buzz online, is having various social networks talking about your product.
