Should we kill social security? - dsda D - 04-02-2014 10:52 AM

It was stupid to start that program in the 1st place.

look at the mess we're in.

and I don't mean privatizing it..................if we had privatized it, look at how bad it would have been with the market collapsing..............

we need to end social security because we can't continue running a ponzi scheme.

If you think this summer's town halls were rowdy, just try seriously advancing that idea. It is never going away.

You are correct.
Our parents don't need it.
They can live on the streets..
and there's plenty of food in the garbage...

thanks for your thoughts !

You can't kill something that's already dead.

We might as well, no one is old and poor in this country anyway. No one that matters, that is.

Unfunded liabilities for SS and Medicare are $344,000 per person

It is the largest generational theft in history

It can be "killed" for people your age. You will still have to contribute to it. The people collecting it have paid into it all their working lives, when you get a job you will understand.

Yes, Social Security is actually a ponzi scheme. Bernie Madoff went to jail for the same stuff. Why is it OK for the government to do the same?
