Seriously? A website where you share what your doing and thinking with the whole world? How could this have grown into a 5 billion dollar company?

Personally, there's nothing great about twitter. It will just invade your privacy. I hate the people getting angry when they receive hate tweets but they are the ones who made an account. they should be ready for the consequences.

if you don't like it then don't use it.
just like gmail, facebook, youtube, etc.
it if doesn't interest you then don't worry about. you don't need to make an account.
personally i love twitter. there's just something about it.
people like it because they can speak freely about how they feel and they don't need to worry about assholes commenting it like on facebook.
it's a really simple and fun way to interact with people.

Well NEWS agencies use it a lot to make quick updates. A lot of the news you see on the front page of Yahoo! are like 4 hours old compared to Twitter. Also companies use it to advertise. Many Youtube Partners use it to let everyone know that there's a video up. Youtubers and companies sometimes do give-aways together. Plus people just use it to stalk celebrities.

I hate when people use twitter to say every little thing they are doing or every dumb thought.
They way I use it, and the people I follow do something different.
They do write what they think, but they are usually nice quotes.
We share more thought phrases, with some sort of beauty. Things you could find in a poem, or a song, or a good book. That is what's so great about twitter.

I think it's mostly because of the celebrities all over the world using it. It gives the fans a chance to talk to and to know about their idols.
