Hey guys,
Been a bit dead off Yahoo Answers for a while and decided to make a new account, but I can't remember where to change your boring ol' grey person to a customized avatar! If anyone could help that would be great!

Yahoo has discontinued their avatars so you would have to go to another site and save it on your computer and upload it from there.

Yahoo no longer supports the creation of their (own) cartoon avatars.
But you can use a photo avatar or a cartoon avatar from another site, and if you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can also use those avatars.
Go to: http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/privacy/ - make sure your profile isn't hidden, because if it is, your avatar won't show.
In case you want to use a Facebook or Twitter avatar, you need to link those accounts in the Profile options.

You have several options in case you want a photo avatar:
a) go to your Yahoo! Answers settings at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity > click edit my preferences near your current pic > click "Update photo or avatar",
b) go to your Yahoo! Profile at http://profile.yahoo.com/ , click on the current avatar.
Now upload a picture or choose one of the pics you've uploaded previously - the format can be bmp, jpg, png, or .gif.
Note: if you are on a mobile, you need to switch to desktop mode first in order for this to work.

Yahoo no longer offers avatars but you can do this:
Choose either a cartoon or a photo avatar
Create a personal avatar below not a moving or large one, right click and save it to you pc then follow the upload directions below..

click your current avatar , click change picture in the centre, click the upward arrow on left, "edit my public profile" browse and select the avatar or pic you want from your pc, follow the prompts.
