I lost my websties/bookmarks, please recommend me some...? - kingdogol - 10-15-2012 08:20 PM

Hi there,
6 months ago my laptop fried itself and I've only recently just had a new one built, the trouble is I can't remember all the websites I used to hae bookmarked.
I had oodles of sites, everything from gaming, to technology, to sites like prank vote (comedy) to alternative (pseudo sciences) to news sites to online marketing forum/work forums - similar to digital point to torrent sites (for legal downloads) to random/cool sites.

Now as my brain has gone through and excessively tried to remember all it can I'm still sure there are sites that I have missed and left out. All the sites I used to visit made me years ahead of the game, for example, I would see something on the net 1-2 years before the masses started emailing it and showing it on tv news/stations.

I've already bookmarked a ton, like youtube, twitter, dailymotion etc...but nevertheless, if you guys have any sites that are in your favourites and you think I've forgotten to add them then please share them with me.
Also if you have any new sites/cool sites or even sites that have only come online in the last 6-7 months I've been without a pc/the net, then please also share them.

The person with the most unique and relevant sites will be awarded the best answer. Please don't link to porn, sales sites or illegal sites of that nature.

Thanks and I look forward to your contributions,
kingdogol

That sucks! I feel for you. I have lost 2 computer's memory including all my stuff so I know how you feel.

I dont know many good sites to recommend, but if you download stumbleupon you can set your preferences and stumble the web and find some really great stuff. And why would you want to be years ahead of the internet? I hate when I know something years before its big. Like songs and artists especially.

You should create a profile on Delicious so you can have all your bookmarks online.

http://www.delicious.com

It's awesome! Plus if you find a cool page, you can have a bookmarklet as a link on your bookmarks bar, so with one click you just add the site you're on to Delicious! That way you can just log in the next time you're on a computer, or when you want to refer a friend to a site you can just tell them to check out your delicious page :-D
