I remember finding a link that someone posted on a forum; it redirected to my Facebook profile. What link is this? I would assume that it links to the profile of whoever is logged into Facebook on their computer.

If you are logged in just by clicking http://www.facebook.com will taje you to your homepage, if you are looking to go to your profile page then as such there is not link. you have to know your profile Id or username
facebook.com/username or facebook.com/profile.php?Id={Id}
