Can I still activate it again? Im planning to leave facebook for 3-4 months? Will it not be permanently deleted?

Yes, you still can activate it again.

If your facebook account had permanently deleted, You can not active the account never again.

You will then find out who your true friends are because they will phone, text or pop over to have a chat and share what's been going on.
Also you will start to regain a private and social life.
