Is there a phone number or an area in Bloomington, IL (or Miami, FL) I can call or goto to interview someone on steps on becoming a social media manger and just be able to ask as many questions that I want. This might be a career I would reaaaally love to pursue

There are non profit mentoring programs, though they often use retired experts who don't as yet exist in the Social Media field. There should be plenty of blogs on the subject that wold offer some advise, probably not reasonable to expect someone in the field to take the tome to talk to someone in school...
