Here is the article about how they quietly changed their policy so that even if you delete, they archive it and it's theirs to do with however they want :

This isn't just safety and how they can then turn over your info to the government, but they can make things that you thought were a private conversation completely open for all in any way they want to. Their rights with YOUR content has no end.
We all know that what we post may be seen by people that we don't want and can be used against us, or to gain access to our children or pictures of them, but that is why we select our friends carefully and add only those we want. Never did I agree before they changed their policy on FEB 4, 2009 to give them everything that I said and posted, even in private to do with in advertisements or whatever they want.
Will you be keeping your account with them after reading that article about them quietly changing their policy to own you?

Seems sensible to me. In cases where the law has been broken, an archived copy of a Facebook account might be the difference between a conviction and an evil criminal (child molester) being acquitted

i think its a good idea. Keeping our world safer by getting rid of the people that make it bad. Facebook has the right to do that. They can do what ever they want. Do not be mad at them for doing something to their site that they invented.
besides...why would anyone be doing stuff that the government finds to be an issue? They should be caught if thats the case

I don't have a Facebook, Myspace, or anything else like that for exactly this reason. I know it just came into effect, but seriously, are people naive enough to think that pictures and videos they post on facebook/myspace won't be seen by anyone they don't accept as a friend? Seriously. Hopefully this will make people think twice about what they post online.
