Facebook deletes my friends? - The Unknown Truth - 04-04-2014 02:46 PM

whenever i add someone on facebook or accept a friends request, i seem to lose a friend
for example:
i have 396 friends
i accept a freind request, or add someone (as to which they then accept)
i know have 397 friends
a day later i then have 396
and the whole thing just repeats itself so i always have the same number of friends

within the last 2 weeks, i have accepted 5 friend requests and added 3 people (which they all accepted)
YET my number of friends still stays the same? i don't get it?

and i know that it deletes my friends because it has deleted people that i once had on facebook and then they inbox me asking why i deleted them....when i didn't
and it just gets awkward when i have to re-add someone, and they ask why i deleted them

can someone PLEASE explain?
and do you think i should just make a new facebook account? but then i don't really want too...

it is just a glitch; it doesn't really delete anyone, it just says that because facebook is stupid lol. if you look back within a few days your number should be what you said it was, 397

Hi,

Someone on your friends list may have de-activated their account which will reflect on the amount of friends you have. if you have 300 friends and two de-activate, your friend count will drop to 298, then one of those people may decide that they want to come back and activate their account again, therefore this makes your friend count 299 now. This is probably what you are noticing, and I want to re-assure you that Facebook is not deleting your friends.
