On Twitter, what's the difference between lists and following? - argh.pirate - 10-15-2012 08:21 PM

If I have my favorite people on Twitter in a list, why would I also want to follow them?

The people you follow will show up on your main feed while lists do not. So the people you want constant updates from you follow, those you only want to check in on every once in a while can go in your lists.

Following people will show up on your main timeline. You'll always see their tweets.

If you have people in a list and choose not to follow, then you'll always have to go to that list just to see their tweets.
