i dont want to use a mass following website, i want different ways to gain new followers on twitter. i dont have that many followers, and its kinda embarrassing! if you could can you list a few ways on how to gain a few followers?

Tips to get more twitter followers:
1. Show your face : Make sure that you have uploaded a photo to your Twitter profile.
2. Create an interesting bio. Don’t leave this blank. It is one of the first things potential followers review.
3. Use a custom About page. Your Twitter bio can only include 160 characters.
4. Make your Twitter presence visible. I can’t tell you how often I have read an interesting post and wanted to tweet the link, but couldn't find the author’s Twitter username.
5. Tweet Interesting, Newsworthy Information.
6. Make your Twitter presence visible.
7. Post frequently, but don’t flood your followers.
8. Reply to others publicly.
9. Practice strategic following.
10. Be generous in linking and retweeting others.
