My band and I don't know how to make a page on facebook. We don't want a group; we want a page that you can become a fan of. Plz help

Click sign up on the main http://www.facebook.com page (i.e. before logging in) and then you should see a text link amongst the welcoming message that says "create a page for a business or band."
Never tried creating a fan page, no reason to. But there you go.
Please note that if you have a user account already on Facebook you cannot legally create a fan page, unless you delete your Facebook user and then create a fan page.
