I blocked someones posts coming onto my news feed ages ago and I cant remember how I did it and I now want to unblock the posts so they start coming on my news feed again?

Try going to that person's page and click on the little gear button in the bottom right of their cover image. There will be an option to Report/Block. If you click that, there will be a few options, you should be able to unblock them here.
I don't have anyone blocked, do the option for me says Block <person's name>, so I'm not sure if that option will change to unblock if you have them blocked.

that isnt called "blocking" - that means something else
