why does facebook keep asking "are you sure you know this person" then says that my friend request will be temporarily blocked if this is spam. will my friend get my friend request or is it instantly blocked? Does my friend see the friend request or not?

I haven't asked anyone to be my friend on Facebook lately so I haven't had that happen to me but I guess it's to prevent fake profiles or these people that add 50 people they don't know in one day.
It also could be something she has set on her Facebook.
I would say your friend should get it or at the very least will be notified of it.
