Is there actually any point to Twitter? - siouxsiesioux - 04-06-2014 08:29 PM

I can't see it myself. I'm quite happy to post updates on Facebook. Wondered if anyone on here uses it??

No its rubbish

the thing with Facebook is that you need to be logged into Facebook and be somebody's friend to be able to see their updates.

Twitter is a lot more open, you can make it private but a lot of people will make it public, so you do not need an account to see somebody's Twitter updates, you can just logon to the website, go on mobile phone, set plugins or apps to view Tweets, it's just easier to share without having to let somebody in to your Facebook friend list.

it gets u closer to celebs i suppose with what there doing and for bands but apart from that not alot of point

NOt really.

Twitter is just used to post your thoughts and ideas in short sentences to get the Twitter CEO rich.

That's all it is, really.

no point
you just follow people

- Lilster - 04-06-2014 09:27 PM

The point is mainly just to stay updated with your friends, I guess.

WHAT?
you dont think it's important that all your Twit's know what you had for breakfast? the sky is still blue, or that the dog just farted?
gee how can you live without twitter.....

most people use it because they have no clue of what reality is, others use it as a marketing tool to advertise to those idiots with no clue, some people are just too damn lazy to read a post on myspace or open their e-mail.
