Facebook Notifications On Droid X? - Amanda - 04-06-2014 10:28 PM

I just gave up my BlackBerry Tour for the new Droid X. I'm on Facebook a lot so I answered a lot of wall posts and status comments through the application on the BB, but now with the Droid I'm not getting anything to show up on my screen to show me that I have new notifications. If I go to the app itself I will see that I have notifications, but then when I click on the notification it will take me to the browser. Is there a way that I can set it up so that I will be notified when I get a new notification (a ringer or have it show up on my screen) and be able to answer the comments through the app without going on the browser? Thanks!
Thanks Tymme. I'm just so used to having the Facebook for BB show everything to me. The phone makes it worthwhile though. I will live Smile

Just chill. The universe will unfold. Everything will be okay with your robot.

The Facebook for Android app has limited notification options, and status updates are not one of them (yet).

You can add the Facebook widget to quickly see recent status updates, or set Facebook to email you and use the email address linked to your phone so you get the phone notification for emails.

As an LG owner, LG Socialite also offers notifications and an overall improvement over the Facebook for Android app; Droids probably have a similar alternative.
