If I deactivate my Facebook account, will I show up as blocked in other people's accounts and on Facebook? - Seekerguy123 - 04-07-2014 02:17 PM

Hi all. If I deactivate my Facebook account, will I show up as blocked in other people's accounts and on Facebook? Will they be able to still find and e-mail me on Facebook somehow? If somebody blocked me in the past on Facebook and if I deactivate my Facebook account but if they later unblock me, will I still be blocked from them whether they know it or not? I'm not talking about me actually deleting my Facebook account but instead just deactivating it. Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.

No, it will not show you as blocked. It will basically be as if you never existed. Any posts on peoples walls will be gone, messages, etc. But you can log back on at any time, and everything will be back!

When you deactivate your account, your profile and all its associated information are immediately made inaccessible to other Facebook users. Although this means that you effectively disappear from the service, your information will remain saved by Facebook so that you can reactivate your account whenever you want.
