I also viewed Facebook as my "fan page" in another window while I was tagging the note, I checked my fan page as well and the note wasn't their either!

Ohhhh yeah....that happens on a lot of places. You should type faster, because if you type a note for a long time then facebook will "lose it's connection" since it would seem your not active. If it's not that then I don't know what is.

Probably a network timeout as mentioned above.
