I want to be in a fandom but I don't know if I need a tumblr for that, I would expect that I don't but it seems that everybody who is in a fandom has a tumblr.

you definitely don't need to have tumblr! i'm in a bunch of fandoms and i only have a twitter and i'm fine. tbh you dont even need social media to be in a fandom
