Paypal or Direct into my bank account? What are the benefits and drawbacks of both.

There are paypal fees, realistically you don't always have a choice, it's a long wa y to actually earn the commissions.

Direct payment is best because the money goes directly into your bank account. However, affiliate programs that tend to do these, like Amazon, are usually big companies and can take as along as 45 to 60 days to clear. Usually these sites are retail, have to wait for the 30-day refund policy to clear, and then you get paid. With paypal, you can be paid at any time, depending on the affilate program's payment schedule. They may pay you instantly or every two weeks or whichever. While there is a fee, they usually pay it. The only pain is that it takes 3 to 5 days to transfer money form your paypal to your actual bank account. You can always get yourself a PayPal debit card. It might take a month to get, but it can be very convenient to use.

It depends on your money cycle. If you want to reinvest the money into your campaign so you may consider getting paid by paypal, because when you pay for traffic for example it is much easier to pay via paypal in many cases.

Also depending on your country and the taxation policy, paypal income is not always taxed but if you have a steady income from aff. program to your bank account you will have to report it.
