offensive advertising by Yahoo? - fearthenewamerica - 04-08-2014 04:09 AM

Well after almost 12 years as a loyal Yahoo Mail customer I'm done. The disgusting, offensive and annoying ads that pop up and wont go away every time I try to write an email have pushed me to Gmail....Nasty Girl clothing was bad enough but today the toenail fungus pictures made me sick..who wants to see that ever?? Gross. See ya Yahoo, you might want to actually start listening to your customers.

What gets me are the rollover ads that are strategically placed so you can't help but roll over them and see the ad expand to fill half your screen. But think about it this way - you get free email that is subsidized by advertising. What are the alternatives? Gmail is worse in a sinister way - they analyze the content of your email to place ads on the screen. If you tell someone you are going to Disney World, guess what ads you will see for the next month?
