Is it true that people can now see if you click on their profile on facebook? - Jasmine - 04-08-2014 04:10 AM

ok well ive noticed that with this new facebook layout when i look in the notifications icon I get things that might say 'Mary whoever clicked on your profile' etc and my friend gets them too. Is it true that this tells people if you've viewed their profile or is it not true because i've been avoiding clicking on poeples' profiles for this reason

No. It's a stupid application you accepted that makes you believe that it can track that. It actually just takes your list of friends, and randomly picks names out. You should delete it.

Top right hand corner-->Account-->Application Settings.
Look for "tracker", or "See who's stalking your profile".

These are fake.

No. That's illegal. It goes against a privacy policy. But that application is fake. All it does is calculate who you talk to the most.

I don't think so. Facebook doesn't allow people to track who views their profiles. Facebook applications, on the other hand, are unable to track anybody unless they have the consent of the viewer.

Follow the source to see the Facebook's statement about this issue.

That's impossible. Even if they use any "watcher" application, they can't tell that you view their profile.
