Can I put - symbol into my domain name? Is that good for SEO? - Max - 04-08-2014 04:10 AM

I want to put - symbol into my domain name ( such as http://www.play-soccer.com )

Is that good for SEO? Some people told me to separate key words with - symbol.

Is that going to help me to rank?

Please I need help!!

Thanks!!!

The "-" character helps clear up the site name, and it will work (not as good) for SE optimization purposes.

Use <meta> tags and insert verifcation tags from different search engines.

The hyphen will not kill you but in our experience "no hyphen" has proven to work better (all things being equal).

There are a ton of things that go into a solid SEO program, with a bit of luck and hard work SEO you will find it a very solid investment of your time.

Use The "-" character to separate. And in 2013 google seo report has said the domain name is no long seo factor in the future, so the domain contain keywords is useless. If you want to think a domain, Just make it easy to remember and a little related. It will be ok.

you can put that symbol in ur domain name but surely it will effect your rankings on search engines but not that much which a domain without keyword will effect. Do one thing don't use it in domain but you can use it in title. People will see the difference on search engines.

If the domain is not available without that symbol ( which I think is the case ) then go for it. Its good to buy a domain with "-" instead of buying domain which has no keyword in it.

I hope this is the best answer
