Yes, you are very right. . Many updations have come in SEO this year. For doing SEO one has to be more creative and think out of the box to get the successful results. The main thing which is to be focused nowadays is Branding of your business. Word of mouth marketing on different social platforms is also playing a very crucial role.

Google constantly updating it's algorithm since starting. Now SEO become a difficult task to do. But in other ways SEO becoming more comfortable day by day. Google also updated it's tools last time to give us more accurate results in website analyses and traffic analyses. Don't worry to this, you just set your mind to do natural SEO.
Google come with very stick for bulk updation in off page techniques because it always use for wrong SEO.
Don't do any off page SEO technique to get links in bulk, just do manually. Any body can do SEO and don't think it is difficult, just think to do SEO systematically.
